“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Anais Nin's quote is a perfect metaphor for Jayanti's yoga practice. Although she began to play with the poses some 20 years ago, she decided to really open to the holistic benefits of yoga about 6 years ago which lead her to embark on the teaching path. Jayanti encourages the student to listen to his or her own body intelligence within the poses, enjoying the journey as opposed to grasping at a perfect pose.
The class is a medium flow and draws from the teachings of Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Eric Schiffman and B.K.S. Iyengar practiced to the rhythms of worldbeat, reggae and ambient East meets West types of music.
Jayanti is passionate about her practice and karma yoga. She has a special concern for at-risk kids/teens. 200 hr RYT, additional Budding Yogis certified.
