STARTING OUT

plan your first class with us

Making yoga accessible to you is the goal of our nonprofit mission. At Yoga District, we’re not all the same. And that’s our greatest strength. Our staff and students identify with diverse races, colors, religions, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, national origins, genetics, disabilities, and ages. We believe yoga is for every body. We believe yoga is for you. To help you prepare for your first classes with us, check out our tips on class types and what to expect.

Finding the RIGHT CLASS FOR YOU

We offer many different styles of yoga so you can choose classes that help you reach your wellness goals. While each of our teachers have their own individual style, there are some common differences you might experience across our class types and levels.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Because of the great variety of yoga traditions, and because Yoga District doesn’t take a cookie-cutter approach to yoga, each class will vary depending on the instructor and class style. That said, there are some common elements to many yoga classes.
